O’Neal team rider Max Hartenstern is already dominating the German IXS Downhill Cup Series and last weekend he also won the 2nd round of the European IXS Downhill Cup Series in Willingen/ Germany.
“On the last weekend, it was time for the second round oft he iXS European Downhill Cup in Willingen/Germany. The track was updated with some new parts on the one hand some new forest parts in the middle section and on the other hand some new gras corners. The training on Friday went really good, I made some good runs and had a lot of fun on this short but intense track. The weather on Saturday started with great conditions.
The track was in good conditions and the training was also really good. After the training I was motivated for my seeding run. Punctual when I go to the start the weather was really bad a lot of rain and thunderstorm but „Thats Racing“ . All in All I had a perfect run because in the first part of the track I ride really aggressive and in the tricky section I ride save. On Saturday I take the win in the seeding run and had the second fastest time in the elite men class so I was rally happy about this.
“In the night to Sunday it rained a lot so the track was really slippery in the training. My first runs weren’t good because everything was slippery and wet. But after some runs I felt good on my bike and the track dried. After a little break it was time for the final. My run was in the first part really good and in the middle I made a big mistake which cost me a lot of time. The rest of my run was perfect so I was really happy to take the win in the U19 class and took over the lead the overall ranking. All in all it was a good weekend and I had a lo of fun to ride my bike with the other crazy people.“ | Max Hartenstern
