A great start to the season for O’Neal team rider Max Hartenstern. He won the U19 DH Elite Category at the Dirt Masters Festival in Winterberg, Germany! He was also the fastest German DH Rider and his time would’ve placed 4th in the Elite Category.
“Spending perfect days with my teammates and some other crazy people :-) The track was the same las last year and the weather on the first 2 days was not bad. A little bit windy, but all in all it felt good. My practice runs on Friday and Saturday were good. I got my lines really quickly and had a lot of fun on the track. The seeding run was perfect and I felt really good on my bike and had a lot of fun. I was really happy to win the seeding run in the U19 Pro category.
Overnight into Sunday the weather changed. It got very cold and snowed during practice. The track was very slippery but after some runs I got used to the new condition. My final run was a little bit out of control in places but overall really good. I was so happy to take my first win of the season. With my time I would’ve been 4th in the Elite category and was the fastest German rider. It was a perfect weekend for me in Winterberg!” | Max Hartenstern
