O’NEAL’s MTB rookie Jan Flor had a really successfull weekend in Serfaus Fiss-Ladis. He was able to win the Rookies Cup U17 race on saturday and placed 2nd at the International Rookies Championship U17 on sunday.

Jan: „I arrived on wednesday in Serfaus Fiss-Ladis. After the track walk I rode a few times to find my favorite racing line. The Rookies Cup Seeding Run went well on friday. I just tried to ride with flow and it worked well by placing 2nd. I knew that I can do well for the final on saturday, if I won’t get a mechanical or DNF. Finally I was able to win the Rookie Cup Race with a gap of 7.8 sec.

After this result I was fully motivated for the International Rookies Championship Race on sunday, where the amateurs and license riders ride against each other. I started next-to-last and after the finish line I’ve checked the big screen. Yes, I was 1st. Only one rider was left. Unfortunetely this license rider was faster than me, but I am really happy to be the Vice Champion of the International Rookies Championships 2015 in the U17 class.“
