Rally Dakar 2026
Simon Marčič starts his 12th Dakar
On January 3, 2026, the 48th Rally Dakar will kick off – and Simon Marčič will be lining up for the twelfth time. For the eleventh time, the Slovenian will take on the toughest category of the rally: Original by Motul (formerly Malle Moto).
Simon Marčič:
“This will be my twelfth Dakar. Eleven of them in the toughest class – Original by Motul. I’m expecting an extremely tough rally with 14 days of racing and two marathon stages.”
In the Original by Motul class, each rider is completely on their own – including maintenance and repairs. Equipped with O'NEAL Adventure Gear, Simon Marčič relies on reliable protection and performance under the toughest conditions.
O'NEAL stands alongside a true Dakar veteran – ready for the extremes of Rally Dakar 2026.
Since 1979, the Rally Dakar has been regarded as the ultimate off-road adventure. The Dakar 2026 will cover around 8,000 kilometers from Yanbu on the Red Sea to Riyadh and back, pushing riders to their limits with extreme heat, demanding navigation, and maximum endurance.
Over 14 racing days with two marathon stages, participants venture deep into the desert and must spend the night outdoors without outside assistance – including one stage in a secured “military bivouac”.
