Dakar Rally 2026
Simon Marčič starts the 12th Dakar
On January 3, 2026 starts the 48th Dakar Rally - and Simon Marčič already goes to the twelfth time at the start. To the eleventh time the Slovenian takes on the toughest category of the rally: Original by Motul (formerly Malle Moto).
Simon Marčič:
"This will be my twelfth Dakar. Eleven of them in the toughest class - Original by Motul. I'm expecting an extremely tough rally with 14 days of racing and two marathon days."
In the Original by Motul-class, every driver is completely on their own - including maintenance and repairs. Equipped with O'NEAL Adventure Gear Simon Marčič focuses on reliable protection and function under the toughest conditions.
O'NEAL stands alongside a true Dakar veteran - ready for the extremes of the 2026 Dakar Rally.
Since 1979, the Dakar Rally has been regarded as the ultimate off-road adventure. The Dakar 2026 leads over about 8,000 kilometers from Yanbu on the Red Sea to Riyadh and back and demands everything from the riders with extreme heat, demanding navigation and maximum endurance.
About 14 race days with two marathon stages the participants penetrate deep into the desert and have to spend the night in the open air without outside help - one stage even in a shielded "military bivouac".
