O’NEAL’s Hannes Ackermann celebrated his first ever NIGHT of the JUMPS victory at the final round of the European Championships in Hamburg, Germany.
Hannes performed the best run we’ve ever seen from him. Also stomping a 360° over the Superkicker, Cliffhanger- and Tsunami Flip. The multiple German FMX Champion was on fire, and the big tricks kept coming with his special ‘Porti-air’ Flip and finishing with a huge Hart Attack Flip for the Double-Up.
It was a razor thin result, but enough for Hannes to beat his younger brother Luc Ackermann. This is the first time we’ve seen a combination of brothers standing on First and Second on the podium at NIGHT of the JUMPs. By the way, Hannes Ackermann is the only German rider to win a NIGHT of the JUMPs competition of all time. The hard work the last months paid of. Congratulations Hannes, you really deserve it!
It was the last NIGHT of the JUMPs event in Hamburg for Lukas Weis. He will retire from his active contest career and focus in shows and running training camps. Luki was riding the NOTJ Series more than 15 years and did the first ever German 360° in 2011! Unfortunately he crashed during qualification on saturday really hard. We wish Lukas all the very best – get well soon!
Our female rider Emma McFerran had the possibility to perform her tricks in front of the Hamburg crowd. Emma worked hard on her trick list the last weeks and showed tricks like Cliffhanger and Seatgrabs.
