“The 3rd round of the European DH Cup in Schladming was really successful for me. The track this year was the same as last year but it was a lot of fun to shred the track with all our crazy friends. After the trackwalk on Friday it was time for some training runs. I saved all my lines and had the flow. The weather on Friday was awesome so I was really motivated for the qualification on Saturday. Overnight it rained a lot, so the track was really slippery in the morning but the weather was also good. After some good runs I concentrated on the seeding run. My run was nearly perfect and I had a lot of fun and was really happy with the second fastest time on the day. After some good runs on Sunday I focused on my final run. Before the U19 class started it rains a lot so we had completely new conditions. The first part of the track was good but I had big crash in the woods which costs me a lot of time but all in all I was happy with my run and of course the winning the U19 class!” | Max Hartenstern
“The race in Schladming was my first ever European DH Cup. The former World Cup track was fast, technical and steep – the perfect match for me. After the rain on Friday night the roots were really slippery on Saturday. It was a tough seeding run for me, because the rider ahead of me crashed and was still on the track when I started. So I needed to change my line and lost 3-4 seconds but managed to get 3rd.On Sunday my final run was perfect and I was happy with the fastest time. But there were still two riders left. They came really close to my time (+0,26 sec.) but couldn’t reach me. So I could win my first ever EDC race!” | Jan Flor
